The Passap Duomatic 80 (also known as DM-80) is a double bed knitting machine manufactured by Passap. Description
The Duomatic 80 features two independent knitting locks and two needle beds, each equipped with 179 needles and pattern jacks.[1] Its design emphasizes modular construction, allowing users to customize the machine with various optional extras to suit specific knitting needs.[1]
Construction Details
The chassis and ground plate of each needle bed are constructed from distortion-free bonderized steel. Each needle bed is composed of nine individually mounted modules made of highly resistant polystyrene. Each module contains 20 case-hardened-steel needle channels, housing corresponding latch needles also made of case-hardened steel. This modular system is designed for easy and cost-effective replacement of individual needle bed sections, a concept also utilized in the Passap E 6000 electronic knitting machine.[1]
