The Passap E6000 is the flagship computerized electronic knitting machine manufactured by Madag (Passap) in Switzerland starting in 1986.^[1] It represents the pinnacle of Passap's domestic knitting machine engineering, combining an integrated double bed with electronic needle selection.

Computerized Console & Solenoid Selection[edit]

The Console: The E6000 features a built-in computer console with an interactive menu that prompts the knitter step-by-step for stitch pattern selection, needle setup, and row counters.
Solenoid Carriage Selection: The front lock carriage is equipped with electronic solenoids. As the lock passes across the guide rails, the E6000 computer console signals the solenoids to automatically select pushers on the front bed, enabling automated double-bed colorwork.
Weightless System: Utilizes Passap's iconic stripper teeth system, allowing knitting entirely without weights or combs.
Standard Gauge: Features 180 needles on the front bed and 180 needles on the back bed (360 total) with a 5.0 mm pitch.

Auto Color Changer: Integrates with electronic automatic color changers (4-color or 6-color) which switch yarn eyelets automatically based on E6000 console commands.
