The Bond Ribber is a plastic double-bed ribbing attachment designed for the Bond family of mid-gauge knitting machines (including the Bond Classic, Incredible Sweater Machine, and Ultimate Sweater Machine). It allows users to automatically knit purl stitches and create ribbing structures (such as 1x1, 2x2, and English rib) without dropping and latching up stitches manually.
Design & Construction[edit]
- Plastic Needle Bed: Matches the modular, plastic construction of the main Bond beds.
- Needle Pitch: Shares the same 8.0 mm needle spacing as the standard Bond beds.
- Carriage Bracket: Includes a special connector bracket that links the main Bond carriage to the ribber carriage, allowing them to move together across both beds.
Setup & Tension[edit]
- Clamps: Attaches to the front edge of the main needle bed using special metal ribber clamps.
- Ribber Keyplates: Comes with its own set of green and red ribber keyplates to regulate tension on the ribber needles.
