The Silver Reed SK-360 (also branded as Singer 360 or Studio 360) is a standard-gauge punchcard knitting machine manufactured by Silver Reed.[1] It features 200 steel latch needles spaced 4.5 mm apart.[2]
Integrated Knit Radar[edit]
A defining feature of the SK-360 is its built-in mechanical Knit Radar (contour tracer):
- It allows knitters to slide full-scale or half-scale paper patterns into a slot on the carriage rails.
- As the carriage passes across the bed, the radar automatically advances, indicating exactly when and where to increase or decrease stitches to match the garment template.
