The Harrison Patent Knitting Machine Co. (originally established in 1856 in Manchester, England by Thomas Harrison) was a prominent manufacturer of domestic circular sock machines and manual flatbed knitting machines during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.[1]

- New Sun: One of the most popular Victorian circular sock machines (CSMs) in the UK, designed to knit ribbed socks and stockings.
- Harrison Patent Flat Machine: Hand-cranked, V-bed flat knitting machines manufactured for both domestic and small-scale industrial garment production.[2]
Legacy[edit]
The company won numerous exhibition medals for its precision mechanical engineering. While circular sock machines were its primary commercial success, Harrison's manual flatbed machines were highly regarded for their robust construction and ease of stitch control.
