The Brother PPD 100 (Pattern Programming Device) is an external cartridge-based computer device that connects to a standard television screen. It allows knitters to design custom patterns digitally.
Design Flow[edit]
- Interface: Plugs into a television via an RCA composite video cable.
- Editing: The user draws stitch patterns pixel-by-pixel on screen using a cursor controlled by a mouse or a trackball.
- Transfer: Once complete, the design is saved onto a cartridge or transferred to the electronic machine via a cable.
