The Brother KH-881 is a standard-gauge punchcard knitting machine manufactured by Brother.^[1] It holds a significant place in the Brother lineup as the first model to feature a fully integrated Knit Leader (pattern drafting device) built directly into the machine bed frame.^[2]

Features[edit]

Gauge: 4.5 mm pitch (Standard Gauge) with 200 steel latch needles.
Knit Leader: The built-in Knit Leader on the left side of the machine frame allows knitters to trace full-scale paper pattern shapes, displaying exactly when to increase or decrease stitches to match the garment shape.
Patterning: Automatic needle selection using standard 24-stitch punchcards. Capable of tuck, slip, fair-isle, weaving, and lace patterns.
Carriage Set: Comes standard with a main carriage and a separate lace carriage (for stitch transfers), single motif cams, and a plating feeder.
