The Brother KH-500, also sold under the Brother Profile 500 name, is a vintage standard-gauge domestic knitting machine manufactured by Brother in Japan.
Design & Specifications[edit]
- Manual Operation: It is a non-patterning machine. Tuck, slip, mock rib, and colorwork require manual needle selection using selector combs or hand manipulation.
- Sinker Plate: Features a detachable sinker plate assembly that guides the yarn and holds down stitches.
- Needle Bed: Spaced at a 4.5mm pitch (standard gauge) with 200 steel latch needles.
